As most of us are acutely aware, modern life is busy and full of stress. The busier and more stressed we become, the more disconnected
we are from ourselves and the those we love. Increasingly, scientific
research is finding that incorporating a Mindful Awareness Practice in
our daily lives can reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune
system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of
health and well-being.
The great thing is, you don't have to radically change your life or spend months in an ashram to gain these benefits. Just 3 minutes a day
is all you need to experience a significant change in your life, as
the brain responds to repetition more than duration.
Another exciting aspect of a daily Mindfulness practice is a greater sense of empathy and connectedness. We at Avasarah firmly believe
that a key reason to so much pain in the world, is that people have
lost their connection to their natural environment and each other.
They simply do not empathise with the full impact of their actions.
If more and more people start making mindfullness a part of their
daily lives it could result in a natural shift in how we all live our
lives, treat each other and our planet. This is definitely an example
of one small change delivering a huge reward.
