Here at Avasarah we want to change the world, and we strongly believe that the way to do that is not to rely on big business, big government or someone 'more qualified' to do it. We believe that every single one of us can create real lasting improvements in ourselves, the lives' of others and the state of our planet, by just taking one small step towards making a difference, or as Gandhi put it 'be(ing) the change you want to see in the world."
Most importantly, we believe that there is no step too small, no action without value. Many of us are so overwhelmed by the enormity of the tasks ahead of us, and the voices of some demanding immediate, complete and perfect change, that we feel powerless in the face of this. So we do nothing, thinking our small effort would never make any difference. We say that's wrong, we want to celebrate the common man or woman or child, we want to cheer them and their small steps on, because if we all take just one small step together we can shake this world.
So Avasarah is launching the "Be the Change Award', a small monthly award, to reward those that are taking their step towards change. If you know someone who is making that extra effort, who you think deserves a pat on the back and a thank you, please let us know. We will reward them with a £50 gift voucher and we will tell others their story to encourage and inspire more people to make a difference.
So if you would like to put someone forwards for the award, tell us a little about them and how they are 'Being the Change". You can nominate any good work, for example if your granny bakes cakes for an orphanage or a young neighbour gives up their holidays to helping out at the local animal shelter. If your special person is selected, we will get in touch with you to find out more and then, figures crossed, surprise them with a lovely treat.
As we would like to keep the spirit of this competition focused on giving, we will not use or keep your email for any other purpose. Terms and Condition of Be the Change Competition
Every Month we will select a story that has most touched our hearts. If in any one month we get several stories that have moved us we will select one and the others will be rolled over and entered into the following months competition.
If your story is selected we will contact you and ask for the details of the winning nominee.
The winning nomination will be awarded a fifty-pound gift voucher to spend on this site.
If the winner is an overseas resident we will not be liable any customs duties and or sales/import taxes.
By entering this Competition you Warrant Avasarah Ltd;
- you are the author of Competition entry;
- your Competition entry is a true story;
- the Competition entry is wholly original to you and not copied from any other material and that the Competition entry does not defame, cause injury to or invade the privacy of or otherwise infringe or violate any statutory, common law, regulatory or intellectual property rights of any third party.
Copyright of each Competition entry remains with the author, but Avasarah Ltd has the unrestricted right to publish winning stories, as well as retaining unrestricted rights to use winning stories and any related material.
